I'm considering purchasing another 1400 The first one I bought exceeded all expectations but I sold it last year along with the restaurant I created and ran successfully for 25 years.
Before purchasing that first 1400 about 13-years ago I'd purchased and "burned through" at least 5 other smokers. Most were charcoal-based but one was electric; it failed within months.
My 1400 was put to an average of 3 times a week smoking: trout, pork butts, ribs, turkey, and sausage. I had to replace some parts over the years: racks, chip box, heating element, and a thermostat or two but spare parts were always available, shipped quickly and the tasks were reasonably easy to perform. Customer and technical support were always 5-star.
