Love this smoker!!
I still consider myself novice when it comes to smoking… I had an electric one a few years ago that worked good… Was not a SMOKIN TEX!!!
It took a crap on me though after about two years… So then I went to a propane one… I absolutely hated it… Thin walls… Would not hold temperatures correctly… And had to constantly stand there by it… I decided about a week ago to order a SMOKIN TEX smoker (1100 model)
.. Finally got the chance to use it… So I did the seasoning smoke last night for 4.5 hours... prepped my chicken wings last night… And got them into the fridge overnight… Did a sample tryout this morning with about 15 of them… I got them started and emailed SMOKIN TEX… My question for them was all the videos that I found on doing chicken wings required to pull them out after about 45 minutes to flip them so I asked if I had to do the same with the smoker because all the videos that I saw were not a SMOKIN TEX.. I got a reply back from Scott who said that there was no need to flip… I set my timer for 2 1/2 hours… Took them out let them rest for about 10 minutes… And they were Fabulous!!! I did a basic rub on them with a little volcano pepper instead of the cayenne… The volcano pepper gave them a nice heat… And the smoke flavor just made them 100 times better!!
Thank you SMOKIN TEX for a great product!! My third rack will be here this afternoon… And it will be wings for dinner tonight 😊
